As a Payment Institution, easypay needs to follow a set of Laws and Regulations issued by:
- Banco de Portugal;
- European Central Bank;
- European Council.
In order to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism, it is easypay’s duty, as a payment institution, to know its Customers and respective organizations (provided for in Law No. 83/2017 of August 18, 2018 (paragraph) b) of paragraph 1 of article 24).
To avoid these problems, easypay must request the following data:
- General information;
- Information from legal representatives and beneficial owners;
- Bank information;
- Business model.
